A WORLD OF WOMEN'S VOICES is a powerful, unique, collaborative performance, featuring three artists - -SHARON GOLDMAN, BEV GRANT AND duo VILLA PALAGONIA - - who celebrate the power of women’s stories from around the world, from Italian folk tales and biblical stories to African women, New York immigrant history (including the Triangle Fire), personal/childhood narratives and labor movement anthems.

BEV GRANT: A veteran social activist, feminist and labor singer/songwriter, Bev Grant is also the founder and director of the Brooklyn Women’s Chorus. VILLA PALAGONIA: Multi-instrumentalist and singer Allison Scola, along with her husband, multifaceted guitarist Joe Ravo, created Villa Palagonia, which calls upon their southern Italian roots and American know-how — Allison’s paternal grandmother, who immigrated to New York in the 1920s, grew up in Bagheria in the shadow of Villa Palagonia.
